A day trip to the magnificent, French Renaissancestyle Waddesdon Manor is made even more profoundly moving by the return of the Standing with Giants exhibition. Set against the backdrop of the manor’s immaculate, sweeping lawns, this powerful outdoor art installation features hundreds of life-size, hand-painted silhouettes, serving as a poignant tribute to fallen heroes. Walking through the striking, evocative display offers a deeply reflective experience, beautifully juxtaposing the solemnity of remembrance with the breathtaking grandeur of the Rothschild house and gardens. We leave at 4pm to get back about 6pm.
