Travel the Tyrol in style on this superb tour featuring a journey on Europe’s oldest cog railway, a relaxing Lake Achen cruise and a ride to the top of the Nordkette mountain range. We also spend time in the Tyrolean capital of Innsbruck and the Bavarian towns of Oberammergau and Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

NK Holidays are acting as an agent for your booking on this holiday. We will supply transport from your chosen pick up location to Maidstone Services, where you will board the Jason Edwards coach. You will then be on your holiday hotel coach to Europe. Upon your return, NK Holdiays will meet you at Maidstone Services for your onward transportation back to your pick-up point.
Day 1
Following a short sea crossing we continue to our overnights dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation
Day 2
We continue our journey to Igls
Day 3
Today we visit the Tyrolean capital city of Innsbruck, surrounded by the jagged rock spires of the Nordkette mountain range. We enjoy free time here to discover some of the most important sights, including the Hofgarten, the ornate 15th century Golden Roof designed as a royal box for the Emperor, the Column of Saint Anne and the Triumphal Arch. In the afternoon, we board the Nordkettenbahn to ascend to the summit of the Nordkette mountain range to enjoy the views while sipping a unique Cloud 9 cocktail.
Day 4
At leisure in Igls
Day 5
This morning we embark on the Achenseebahn, Europe’s oldest cog railway, which is still steam operated. Puffing through the steeper sections, it rises to a 16% gradient from Jenbach to Seespitz. From here we re-join our coach for the short journey to the resort town of Pertisau. We enjoy time at leisure before relaxing on a one-way cruise from Pertisau to the northern shores of lovely Lake Achen, in Scholastika.
Day 6
Today we travel to the unique town of Oberammergau, home to the unique passion play. After enjoying free time here, we move on to the beautiful nearby Ettal Abbey for a visit before travelling to the Bavarian town of Garmisch Partenkirchen, where we enjoy some time at leisure.
Day 7
Sadly we depart our resort and travel to our overnight accommodation.
Day 8
Continue to Calais and complete the journey home.
